Worth upgrading to Win 11?

My main usage of my PC is gaming, 3D work using blender and Substance painter, and ofc normal web browsing etc.

 

Im on a 5600x. So i clear TPM 2.0 req.

 

Is there a benefit over Win 10?

I know what Windows 11 is and installed it fresh on all my machines at launch because I enjoy new things. If you are asking now a few years later, just stick with what you know, clearly you're not missing anything since you've gone this long. 

 

Eventually you'll have to move to 11. (I hesitate to say "upgrade" as that's always messy, clean installs are preferred).

The only benefit is a longer supported lifecycle. You have at least another year with Windows 10 updates though.

I have multiple Win 11 and 10 machines, I move between them without issue.  There isn't much difference between them at all.

Then again, I have multiple pairs of shoes, pants, shirts, plates and cups at home, and a few cars.  I can go between any of them without issue.

 

I may just be amazingly special, as many people can't go from Win 10 to 11 without a nervous breakdown apparently.

There's some random things, like HDR and various 'improvements'. Most of the super user changes aren't great, mostly involving forcing users to 'settings' instead of 'control panel', but they're easy to work around.

 

I think it matter so little that if you want to, just do it. People will sit and complain about trivial nonsense where for most people, it simply doesn't matter. 

 

There're some scenarios where software simply doesn't work right on the newer OS, but that can happen with even newer builds of Windows 10.

 

I've used Win11 on both my work machine and main desktop since release day and I haven't seen any major limitations regarding compatibility or usability, that includes the several elderly people I've forced it upon who figured it out without issue.
