Great PC games that a console peasant might of missed

I didnt get into video games until late into the original xbox's life cycle, and i just got PC recently. On the xbox I really liked KOTOR. Since summer is coming i thought i would play some games any recommendations? So far i have gotten Fallout,Fallout2, System Shock, System Shock2, Zork, and Deus ex.

The original Witcher game, the Amnesia games. There are more but those are the ones I can personally recommend from having played them. Others that I haven't played include the entire RTS genre, a good portion of the RPG genre too, the original Fallout games and more.

 

On top of that, it isn't just playing PC games that don't exist on consoles, it's about playing games available for both platforms that you can improve immensely with mods, such as adding multiplayer to Just Cause 2, or graphical mods for pretty much every game out there. And then you have emulation, where you can play console exclusives from consoles such as the PS2 with a much better experience than you had on the original console.
