Budget (including currency): 1300 GBP

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VR, effectively just want really good performance on any game i could want to play, minecraft shaders etc.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

image.thumb.png.593674eecdc8fd26095d37b7bc79745f.png

here's what i've cooked up, i really want to keep the case and like max I could go to is 1350

as long as I get good performance I dont mind, people say RTX is better than radeon.
i also dont mind any colour scheme, but perferably white, but if its cheaper to go black, i'll just get black components and keep the case

thank you all for any future help!

I think you'd need to look it up because it depends on the VR system you're using, but historically nvidia was superior to amd for VR.

If you are going with AMD, I'd get the 7900 GRE instead of the 7800 XT.

No offense but that build is a disaster. That board is trash (where's the VRM's), CL40 RAM, an overpriced psu, a cpu cooler that's best suited for a 12400F, etc ..

whats the whole thing with thermalright? like if im being perfectly honest, i'd rather not skimp out on a CPU cooler as i dont want my £200 CPU to melt

Brand name tells you nothing. Phantom spirit is better than d15 on am5 and even a sub 20£ Thermalright 120mm fan tower easily beats u9s.
