I just put my new 14700K build through 30 mins of OCCT all-combined test and got about a dozen WHEA errors.

The only 'overclock' I'm on is XMP with 32GB (2x16) DDR5 running at their rated 7200 MT/s. The RAM passed the 4-hour MemTest86 and all of Intel XTU's in-built CPU & RAM stress tests were passed as well (5-minute runs).

After the test, I went & looked in the Windows Event Viewer and found the WHEA errors that appear to correspond with what was seen in OCCT. They all appear to be 'PCI Express Root Port' errors. But I've found lots of these PCIe root port errors in the event viewer, even from before I installed OCCT so I'm starting to think these errors weren't induced by the stress test, just something happening in the background that OCCT picked up.

I've experienced ZERO crashes, BSODs or any other form of instability with this system since Day 1, so would I be right in thinking these may be driver-related issues with the GPU? Though I've been using this card (MSI 1080Ti) for ~6 years now with no issues.

Is there anything I can do to check if everything is okay? I've ran 3DMark and played a few games (PUBG, BF2042) and everything seems fine. Starting to think I'm looking for a problem where there isn't one, but would like peace of mind regardless.

These are not sufficient stress tests for the memory. MemTest86 and XTU are relatively easy to pass with unstable memory. The ones that are generally the best in my experience are the Y-Cruncher VT3 stress test and TestMem5 with the 1usmus_v3 stress test. There are plenty of 13th and 14th gen CPUs that will not work at 7200 out of the box, so it's possible you've got one of those and that's what is causing the WHEA errors.

Hmm, but why would they register as PCIe errors though?

You mean BIOS? Yes, I'm on the latest and the system is stable.

Can't find anything called 'Windows drivers' from the Mobo page:

https://rog.asus.com/in/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z790-e-gaming-wifi-ii/helpdesk_download/

The rest of the stuff, like WiFi, LAN, Chipset, Bluetooth etc. yes I installed all the latest versions.
