LazerBlade: The affordable laser cutter / engraver

The LazerBlade is an entry-level laser cutter & engraver kit, developed to fill the gap in today's world of affordable desktop rapid-prototyping machines.

Our goal was to create a portable device that went beyond a novelty and proved itself a useful tool for both the novice creator as well as the serious artisan, and everyone in between.

How is this spam? This is tech related and its news to me. Therefore it is relevant, in the correct section, informational, and is completely non spam-ish in nature.

I've always wanted a cnc machine (either using a router or laser)

I've been (sort of) reading up on it for a couple of years now, so I could make my own.

So it'd be awesome if they could become mainstream like the 3D printers are doing now.

I'd finally be able to say goodbye to china :P

SPAM!

lol jk ;)

Looks interesting, I wouldn't mind having the ability to take a part off my rig and laser engrave it, the front door of my case is metal I wonder if I could do that.

Nice! It's a shame though that it doesn't cut metal nor acrylic.

STRAYA!

I can think of so many ways in which this would make my life easier. Hopefully the price won't be too high, so it's something that hobbyists can afford and not just small business. This is assuming it comes into production, which might be challenging thanks to our ridiculously strict health and safety laws.

can you attach that on a shark to lets say a mutated seabass ?

If your grave doesn't say "rest in peace" on it You are automatically drafted into the skeleton war.
