Budget (including currency): 4000-5000 $USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cod, GTA, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2 & other Triple A single player story driven titles as well as for production such as video editing with adobe software

Other details: I do want an RTX4090 included & prefer an amd ryzen 7 or above for cpu, the extras such as RGB isn't a necessity I mainly want what's going to allow me to run what i need to run at the best bang for my buck like I don't need the most expensive part for everything but I do want the things that are going to give me best overall quality. (IF IT'S SOMETHING THAT WON'T MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE THEN I'D PREFER THE OPTION THAT'LL GIVE ME THE BEST BANG FOR MY BUCK I KNOW THE BUDGET IS PRETTY EXPENSIVE BUT I DON'T WANT THE MOST EXPENSIVE PARTS JUST BECAUSE IF I WON'T REALLY HAVE A USE FOR IT OR IT'S NOT REALLY NECESSARY) Thank You for any help!

If that's the case, then you only really need about half of this budget for a top of the line gaming system?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tpFw4M

The only thing that I might change in it is the SSD and CPU depending on the capacity you need and what the video editing actually requires. 2TB should be fine, and realistically you're not going to notice a faster drive, so I'd only change that if you want 4TB (given your budget, you could probably afford that if you wanted), and as for the video editing are we talking steam highlight clips or 8K Raw with a lot of effects?

So, this would be a core build:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor  ($339.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler  ($33.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 ATX AM5 Motherboard  ($179.00 @ Amazon)
Memory: *Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory  ($181.99 @ Newegg Sellers)

Which then you could expand with several choices,

first would be CPU, you could get the higher class x3D chips, they have one small downside and that's that only half of their CPU cores are attached to the 3D cache, this may or may not cause slight fluctuations in fps and other things, manageable though, with few tweaks and patience usable and use more cores, if you need them, you probably don't need that many cores, so probably stick with 7800x3D.

second you want bit more fans than what the case comes with, both for nice fresh air and for the exhaust of the hot air,

third you want more drives for your plentiful stuff, or just specific drive for your creative work that can handle more sustained performance and be better for smoother operation of the files and the apps if they're on them, not much improvement with gaming on that part but bit faster load times,

and that would look like this:

Honestly, you might want this MB, it's 50% for bragging rights because it's more expensive, but it also is on X670 chipset, which should have more PCIe lanes: (which is good especially if you're going to have more storage devices like M.2 SSDs and SATA drives, it is though bit premium extra, B650 is quite plentiful for best bang for the buck)

it's not necessary though, and it uses some whistles already, though not much, the 2TB SSD could be @RONOTHAN##'s WD Blue SN580 and you wouldn't notice a difference in games, because SSDs don't do much in games, they just load and store them.

B650 has 36 PCIe lanes, GPU uses 16 and M.2 storage 4, which is still under 36 when you use all 3 M.2 slots my MB has

Alright, then swap out the 7800X3D for a 7950X, 7950X3D, or soon to be released 9950X. The 7950X is faster in production applications, the 7950X3D is faster in games but the scheduler for it is weird and needs to be supervised for the best performance, and the 9950X should hopefully be the best of both worlds (no scheduler and about 15% faster than the 7950X) but for an extra ~$200.

Purely in games, the 7800X3D is the better pick compared to all of these CPUs, hence why I was asking as you only really want to go Ryzen 9 if you actually need the cores.

I didn't think of that, 7950x is probably better for gaming AND video editing/productivity

I'd be more passionately open to what I'm going to do on a machine I'm spending 5000$ for, for example it's nice to know video editing, but video editing 1080p vs 8K is like difference between a candle and a Sun

personally with decent budgets, I'd go for 1TB OS storage, not that 500GB isn't enough, but because there are certain things that love to use that drive, like apps that don't let you choose install location, AppData, Temp and other default folders

I'd be more passionately open to what I'm going to do on a machine I'm spending 5000$ for, for example it's nice to know video editing, but video editing 1080p vs 8K is like difference between a candle and a Sun

Yeah lol

Alright, let's see where we're paying extra $ for the brand:

150$+

90$+

better alternatives

300$ cheaper alternatives

nice case, not sure if it comes with fans

I guess I was just going for the top-of-the-line all-white parts since they have a $5000 budget, there are definitely cheaper alternatives

bro forgot to mention the 1000w rme that is 30$ over a 1200w montech titan gold and 200w less than said titan gold

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PmJFDZ

7900x3d + 64gb 6000c30 + 4090

7900x3d is cheaper than the 7800x3d for some reason and it has some extra cores albiet 2 less cache cores

if you wanna run dual gpu get the b650 proart, if you want tons of usb3 with a usb 4 port on the rear i/o + postcode + eclk if you wanna overclock the cache cores then theres the b650 taichi lite

ssd wise i just chose a normal high end gen4 but if you think youd benifit from a faster ssd the crucial t700 is 380$ and puts the overpriced 990 pro alongside all high end gen4s (including the one on this list) to shame, theres also the even faster t705 for 518$ but those are damn expensive
