Is a 360 radiator enough?

Go to solution Solved by helping,

would a Monsta 240 and a PE 240 be enough?

Yes

Like said before, a 360 Monsta in push/pull would work as well.

Im going to get a EK PE 360 rad. It has a FPI of 36. Would it be enough for a 4670k and 2 R9 290s?

If you only have space for a 360 you could get a monstaa would be enough but a regular 360 won't be great, but it will still work. If only 360 get a monstaa in push pull because that will fit. lol

The rule of thumb is a single 120mm per part but the 290's run pretty hot I'd get a additional thick 140mm or a standard 240/280 if you want to OC.

You're cutting it close, but yeah. I would say add a 240 in there

If you had to predict how hot would those 290s be

Well the 295x2 runs about 70C so about 60C give or take a few but if you wanted to OC both the GPUs and the CPU I'd recommend the extra 240 plus if you get a pump like the variable speed D5 variant then you could turn down the pump so you'd have a quieter rig.

I would say 60C. Maybe 55 or 50C.

Better then a reference...lol

The rule of thumb is a single 120mm per part

I thought you also added a 120 for each OCed part and another if somewhere with high ambients.  Then I would add another one for luck (if there was room/money/time etc).

So 1x K proccesor (probably OCed else why get a K) -----------------2x120

2 of Graphics cards ---------------------------------------------------------- 2x120

so 4 120 or 2x240 plus one if in (say) South America, the outback, the desert etc  If cooler area (say) New York Britain etc I would need  4x120 plus the one for luck.

so 2X 240s will be enough unless you have really high ambients
