I was talking to a co-worker last Friday afternoon, and we somehow ended up talking about videos games...and Command & Conquer. We got into remembering the good 'ol days when Command & Conquer 1 first came out for Windows 95, and such. Remembering how the Engineers could capture enemy buildings, how power plants just build itself in seconds, and how the ore mining vehicle can run over troops...and how all the cut-scenes were acted out by actual people...

 

I thought about it...

Anyone know where I can download / purchase C&C1? How to get it to run on Windows 7 (or XP)? Know any emulators that can do this?

 

Yes, the very first Command & Conquer. Ya'know, when Westwood Studios used to exist before EA Los Angeles swallowed it whole.

 

I know all these AAA games like BF4, Watch Dogs, Crysis 3, StarCraft 2 are out there...but nothing can beat a classic IMO.

Heck I still have the original DooM on a working Sega Genesis. 16-bit or 32-bit gaming, boys!! B)
