Budget (including currency): <$1600 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 3D design (blender with octane) , Fusion 360, light AI, Minecraft but with shaders (extremely performance heavy ones), DCS, numerous low performance heavy indie games (i.e battle bit), little bit of CFD.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Running at 1440p 144hz, buying date tbd but no less than 8-9 months, no peripherals are needed.

Just need to find out what may be wrong with this parts list, trying to optimize for the best bang for the buck. Sticking with the GPU and case, though I have a similar parts lists with a different cases.

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pQ6fTY

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($189.00)

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-C14S 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler ($80.00)

Motherboard: ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard

$149.99

Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory

$94.99

Storage: Acer Predator GM7000 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive

$84.99

Video Card: PNY VERTO OC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card ($569.99)

Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS GX-750 ATX 3.0 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

$89.99

Case Fan: Corsair iCUE SP RGB ELITE 47.73 CFM 120 mm Fans 3-Pack (Purchased For $-0.01)

Custom: Meshroom D + extender ($150.00)

Total: $1408.94

Prices include shipping, taxes, and discount.

Thanks!

I would try to get an Intel CPU for this build, thats better for 3D modeling I think.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro

I love Photography (Using a Canon 60D)

Love F1, my favourite team is Ferrari and my favourite driver is Leclerc

Yup, with your use case. You need a cpu that's gears towards productivity and as of right now, it's intel. Funny how AMD and Intel switch after just a few years when it's intel if you want the best gaming and ryzen AM4 if you want more cores and productivity. Either that or get an 8core cpu from amd.

I made a quick one that should be able to do everything you want it to and more, I used an Intel CPU and with the budget, I managed to get a 12900K which has plenty of cores and it still will be future-proofed with 14th gen. PCPP:https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PGd7N6

Looking at your build, I don't think your choice of case is foing to fit your motherboard. It needs an ITX. Like this:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i7-14700K 3.4 GHz 20-Core Processor  ($379.75 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler  ($32.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock Z790M-ITX WIFI Mini ITX LGA1700 Motherboard  ($229.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory  ($94.97 @ B&H)
Storage: Acer Predator GM7000 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive  ($84.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Zotac Twin Edge GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card  ($579.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Deepcool CH160 Mini ITX Desktop Case  ($76.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Cooler Master V SFX Gold ATX 3.0 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply  ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $1579.56
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Or you can go with a more standard case and motherboard:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i7-14700K 3.4 GHz 20-Core Processor  ($379.75 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler  ($32.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock Z790 Lightning WiFi ATX LGA1700 Motherboard  ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory  ($94.97 @ B&H)
Storage: Acer Predator GM7000 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive  ($84.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Zotac Twin Edge GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card  ($579.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Phanteks XT PRO ATX Mid Tower Case  ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE Gold 850 - V2 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply  ($94.99 @ Amazon)

But if you really want to max your budget and still on AMD platform, then go with this:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 4.5 GHz 16-Core Processor  ($486.61 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler  ($33.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock B650 LiveMixer ATX AM5 Motherboard  ($149.99 @ Newegg)

7900 + 4070tis + 32gb 6000c30

this is pretty much the max you can do at your budget albiet not itx like your case choice

going to a 4070s will save 220$ and put this build right at the pricepoint of your original build just that the board and cpu have been upgraded

afaik 7900 is better bin than the 7700/7600 which means it can oc and boost higher so better performance in mc and whatever other games that need high singlecore, but if you play factorio or anything that is massively benifitted by cache then you may wanna consider the 7800x3d instead

Thanks for the advice, I'll be replacing the 7600x with a 7700x, only a $70 increase but will manageable with my choice of cooler.

dude you gave the solution to the dude who quoted me and agreed??

Yes, but he did say his original choice was Meshroom D and as far as I know, that's a itx case. While, his motherboard choice was ASRock B650M Pro RS, which is a matx.

If you are worried about 3d performance, I suggest looking into putting some more money into the Ryzen 3d chips. They are great in blender and cad applications if you do not want to spend the money on overpriced Intel products that would do the same thing. As someone who uses Blender and SOLIDWORKS, I can tell you these chips do help at the cost of lower clock speeds. In normal applications but, there are not noticeable performance issues.
