Hi All

Does anyone know of any dumb "smart" watches, I see all the "smart" watches company's release and none of them are anything i would want.

All id want is being able to sell time, change music and see who getting a call from or message.

I have no interest in the health shit, don't care about taking calls on it, don't want GPS, don't want it making calls if i fall.

I have a normal watch that tells the time, gives me the date and nothing else.

I would never buy a "smart" watch because why would i pay so much for a POS that does all the other stuff that's just a waste.

If anyone knows a watch please let me know.

Thanks

are you looking at a "watch" as in the traditional round shape? or would a band style smart watch fit you?

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy

Pretty much sounds like you just want a watch that has music control.

Kinda niche for you. You could try something from Garmin but I think most will come with the lot of bundled features. You can of course turn off or never use said features but it's cheaper for the maker of these products just to include the bunch of features, GPS and so on than to not and possibly miss out on a customer than wants them than a customer that doesn't want them.

It wouldn't have to be a traditional round shape id rather digital over analog but as long as it keeps time and none of that gesture shit just to look at the time.

yeah that's pretty much what id like.

Yeah i get that its cheaper for them to make it with all those features but just don't want or would never use so though i would ask, sometimes people know of things that just are not well know.

I would never buy a watch with all those features because its just a super waste even if you can turn them off and i would assume they are still on just not displaying that info to you.

A xiaomi mi band might suit you then. relatively inexpensive, and you can turn on anything you like from the app like virbation when you get a call and your phone is on silent or to see messages without opening the phone plus while it has some stupid features like the weather or heart monitoring cause its also an activity tracker its also barebones so no social media or elaborate screens while letting you use your phone, change music and see the time without stuffing you with too many features you wont need although it comes with some novelty add ons

Usually they're not on even when turned off because that has a significant battery impact, an impact big enough that it can be advertised as an advantage over competitions, that's why some smart/dumb watches advertise lets say a week yet at most can do 4 weeks, 4 weeks cause just about everything is turned off.

I've got a Fitbit inpire 2 and turning off Always On Display gets me to only have to charge it every 2-3 weeks it feels like.

All "connected" watches these days will also come with health/sleep tracking - I can't think of any that won't have that. Even the minimalistic ones like Withings has health tracking.

I would recommend checking out Amazfit devices - great battery life, decent functionality and good pricing.
