Will laptops eventually replace desktops?

If anything I think laptops will decline soon, Most power users still and will continue to prefer desktops because of ease of upgrading and the price to performance is better and you can just get more raw power out of it. Tablets are getting more and more popular among people that just check emails and watch youtube and do web browsing, they are even more portable than laptops and some of them you can even get really thin detachable key boards.

That's just a fucking fat laptop, no wonder it can have "power".

Better off with a mATX desktop.

Yeah it's fat but you can't carry a kb+m, monitor, and computer around as easy as you can that.

For normal people like my mum and my sis then yes, for hardware enthusiasts like us and professionals like Linus and Barnacules then no.
