RTX 4070 SUPER doesn't work.

Go to solution Solved by Spotty,

You need to plug in both PCIe connectors on the 12VHPWR adapter. You only have one cable plugged in.

Hello. I bought RTX 4070 SUPER  lately, and wanted to install it in my PC. I pinned it through 12VPHWR to 6+2 PCI cable to PSU and set in pci 4.0 16x. After I set it up I turned on the PC but GPU wasn't working. Like fans weren't spinning and I heard 4 beeps ( which mean that MOBO think I doesn't have GPU). I have b660 gaming x ddr4 and SILENTIUMPC Vero L3 700W 80 Plus Bronze. Do I do something bad or my new gpu is just dead? When i Put my old GPU (RTX 3060) everything works just fine. I didnt restarted Bios, maybe thats the cause? Frens?

Little bit hard to decipher here what exactly you are trying to say but have a read  of this https://wiki.sloth-review.com/books/gpu/page/comprehensive-gpu-troubleshooting-guide it does sound like based on what you have said that i am going to say the psu is the issue though

I have 700W PSU which should be enough. And as I said, when installing old gpu (rtx 3060) everything is fine. Maybe you can tell if something is not right based on the photo?

Also as I said, I use 6+2 pin pcie connectors to my psu. Maybe I need 16 pin?

i am just asking now , but does anyone know if these mhz are all right? aint 10051 mhz to big number?

For effective memory clock speed, that's correct. Memory clock speed for the 4070 Super is 1313MHz. Without getting too complicated, because it's GDDR6X memory it's 8x the memory clock speed to get the effective memory clock speed. 8x 1313MHz = 10504Mhz.

Different programs will display either the memory clock speed or the effective memory clock speed. That overlay is showing effective clock speed. GPU-Z will show the memory clock speed which should show it as 1313MHz.

Glad you got it working 🙂
