3700x max oc?

recieving a 3700x from a friend and was wondering how high i could overclock it paired with a 1070, thank you.

There is no standard for OC as far as i know.

 

Just a tad tweaking. If I know anything about modern OC.

Surely there is. But 24/7 OC is surely around 4.4Ghz?  I assume it depends what the silicon lottery gave...

afaik older chips can do 4.2-4.4 and newer ones can do 4.5-4.6 allcore assuming somehwat reasonable volts like ~1.35-1.4v though best efficiency is probably your max oc at 1.2-1.25v
