Comments on the LG C series, specifically the C3? Only that they are one of the most popular and well regarded line of OLED's available and have been for quite a while. No shortage of reviews of the whole C line going back years to the latest C4.

What exactly are you looking for? (that isn't covered in the hundreds of reviews)

LG C-series are always great TV's. I have a C9 (2019) model and a C2 (2022) model right now and they're both great. If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Not my post, but what's with the numbers? Surely a C9 is newer than a C2? Or is higher number more premium or something

C is the series, so the same "tier" or quality. Above it is the G series and the "signature" models, below it the A and B series.

From memory:

LG C4 (2024)

LG C3 (2023)

LG C2 (2022)

LG C1 (2021)

LG CX (2020)

LG C9 (2019)

LG C8 (2018)

LG C7 (2017)

So in 2027 there will be 2 C7's?

The number is only an indicator of the model year. From what it looks like they basically plan to start over every 10 years. So the 2023 model is a C3, the 2024 model is the C4, and for example the 2034 model will probably be the C4 again.

I don't feel like this is a big issue because models with the same name are 10 years apart, making it pretty much impossible to have someone accidentally buy the older one.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Just confuses me

Why can't any manufacturer have a good naming scheme

I've not heard until now about this specific scheme being confusing. If they do another C7 there will only be one in this decade.

Yeah thought so, thanks! I think my parents are looking to buy the C3 from Costco
