it makes a noise sort of like a tick... and doesn't turn on at all

I got this set second hand PSU CPU MBO and cooler all wired up with no spare modular cable for GPU so for that i used one from my previous system just the cable

Power supply cables are generally not compatible across different power supplies. If you're using PCIe cables from a different power supply that aren't compatible with your power supply it won't work. Most likely it's detecting the fault and SCP (Short Circuit Protection) is kicking in to shut the power supply off before any damage can be done to the system.

Use a different power supply only using cables that were included with that power supply. If you swap the power supply remove any other power cables that were from the Silverstone PSU from the system (CPU, Motherboard, SATA...).

If i add power to GPU the PC will not Power ON (1080ti)

If i remove the GPU the PC works fine i can enter in windows

if i add a low profile GPU (gt1030) no external power - the PC works fine

if i add a less powerful GPU (GTX960) with external power - PC does not power ON

Mbo Asus Prime z 590a

CPU  i7 11700k

GPU gtx 1080ti

ram 32Gb ddr4 tforce 2400mghz

PSU silver stone DA850

I'm also having problems with the 2,5 Gb LAN port on the Mbo i cant see the etthernet adapter in device manager.

Is there some settings i shuld change or is the PSU just not enough to power ON the machine?

THE other devices show ! on all PCie but in display adapter section it's clear the 1030 card is detected and working

im getting frustrated

Sounds like a psu issue to me, the VGA power pins may be faulty.

Have you installed the LAN drivers?

What happens when you push the on button? Turns on then turns off? Doesn't turn on at all?

Are you using the PCIe cables that came with the power supply?

My best move is rn is to try and wire everything up using the PSU from my previous build its a 850w LG power archangel 3 might even be of better quality than the silverstone one

yeah from ausu support page... i click on lan driver and it does nothing, i can see in the task manager is trying to do something but never does... fuurther googling this board i feel like im not the only 1 with problems... the port doesn't even light up when i plug in the UTP cable.. i choose this board mainly for the 2.5 gig lan... bummer

it's not listed anywhere im using a WiFi dongle that is the Tplink.. but no ethernet adapter visible

I will do that.. Never vould have consider it... The molex for sata drives works fine so i assume the same would apply for the gpu

That did it! thank you the old PSU turned my PC on butt the only problem is there is no 4pin connector on my LCpower and i have no pcie connectors on the silverstone 2 useless PSU for me.. Any chance in converting a 6pin to 4pin ba hacking 2 pins off?
