MSI - MPG321URXQDOLED 32" OLED or Alienware AW3423DWF 34"

iLoveCatsss

So. The alienware is curved at $777 on BB right now. The Msi is out of stock, 4k, flat. What one would you buy and why? I really do like the price of the alienware at like 800 shipped.

I have an rtx 3080fe
i9 10850k

I do plan on upgrading the pc within a year.

The MSI, its just impossible to get your hands on. 16:9 doesn't need a curve.

I've never used an ultrawide either. But, 1100 after tax is a 300 dollar difference. Think it's worth it with the drop in performance as well?

I tell you, there's a significant more hit on the high end (think simulators or some shit), at 3840x2160 than it is on 3440x1440. Also, you don't get that fancy ultrawide gaming ratio, which still actually has a bonus on several games as was so years ago as was is still is with the pic I'm going so post as is, as it is... LOL WHAT AM I BABBLING xDD.

Oh, my apologies, I assumed you were comparing the MSI 321URX to the Alienware AW3225QF, both being the same 32" 4K 240Hz panel, just with the alienware being curved.

If the difference is between that 34" 3440x1440 then for me its still the MSI. I moved from 3440x1440 as after 7 years to 4K last year, needed more pixels.

With a 3080 though, 3440x1440 is going to perform much better. For gaming 21:9 is absolutely fantastic, I just wish the 5120x2160 models were available.

Yeah. It's going to be a solid 1-2 years before I upgrade my pc completely to new gen intel and a 5080. But then, will 165hz be enough lol?

Even 100 is, believe it or not, moving from lower Hz to the upper echelon is madness.

I have a 100, a 120 (both 34 UW), and a 165 (a 24), all IPS. The 165 on my mom's mini PC is mad snappy, but I doesn't make me miss the 120 I currently main.

Just get the ultrawide and call it a day.

Ordered. Thanks for the push. Honestly for 300 more I don't think it's worth (for me) to have a larger screen in height/4k/lose a bit of gaming performance. If I don't like the monitor I can always bring it back.

Running 120hz on my LG C1 and 240hz on the 2nd monitor the MSI MPG321URX.  There is a difference, but it isn't night and day as 60-144 (or 120 OLED).

Got to be quick.  I ordered in about 45 seconds after getting the text.  It was in stock about 2 minutes.  Also too late to cancel the MAG version I had ordered weeks before so technically got two but I ebayed the MAG.
