nvme dram-less ssd's are good?

Hi guys, my OS sata ssd 450Gb disk is almost full, and i need a new drive for my os

I run Unreal + Quixel bridge another 3d softwares that put a lot of content into the little ssd i have

i got anothers disk who are at 60-70% - 1Tb nvme only for UE and blender 3D projects and another 1T nvme for my 3d Asset Library but the UE project will grow in the near future

so right now i see a lot of offers in amazon for an wd-SN770-black-2Tb at 120€, also the crucial P3 Plus and  a Samsung 980 pro 1Tb at 90€,

nevertheless i hear a lot of warnings about the ram-less nvme like this two

i would like to have your advice in this area, because i dont want to spend money for nothing

thanks in advance

DRAM-less SSDs have improved a fair bit in recent years, so drives like the SN770 and Crucial P3 (Plus) are very usable nowadays, even as boot drives. Newer drives can reserve a bit of your system memory to use as the DRAM cache, so while it's not as good as having it on the drive itself, it still results in pretty good performance overall. I'd get the 2TB drive here.

the sn770-2Tb will be ok?

and will be preferable to put a 1Tb for OS and the sn770 2Tb for the 3D projects ?

Get a good ol' Phison 4.0 with NAND, it will trash anything mentioned in this thread in 4k r/w and sequentials are always much higher anyway.

https://www.amazon.com.be/-/en/Apacer-SSD-512GB-3-0G-AS2280Q4U/dp/B0BGCC8HBC?language=en_GB#customerReviews

Apacer has some of the dirtiest cheap prices towards the E18 refresh Phison w/ DRAM. It performs like flies out of a HDPE trash can on a good day...
