Kinda depends on the GPU & PSU and what exactly you meant by "multiply it"

but generally not recommended.

What psu?

A 550w only having one is odd so that makes me concerend about the quality.

Also no you shouldn't. You'd be asking DOUBLE the power of the cable and they are NOT rated to do rhat. Thats usually how you kill your system

What specific power supply is it? If you're wanting to expand it to another 6+2 connector(so you would effectively have 300W of headroom to the graphics card), then no, but it depends on the card. If you want to turn the 6+2 connector into dual 6 pin connectors, that's fine, since the total amount of power will be 150W.

Additionally, if the power supply doesn't have enough connectors, you should probably upgrade it.

That power supply should have two of them, according to the specs.

What made you believe that it only had one?

What store did you buy this from that gave the incorrect description?

Worth checking the manufacturer sites before you buy.  Careful buying from that seller in the future, wrong info is the mark of a shady seller.
