Best phone in 2024

I am looking for a phone around the $600 price point. The iPhone 15 base model with a trade-in at Verizon looks good, and I would like to stay on the Apple side so my Apple Watch Series 3 works. But the nothing phone 2 looks really cool too. What is the best phone for my budget, and if it’s not Apple, what’s an affordable smartwatch to go with it? (Watch and phone can’t exceed $600)

I love making PCPartPicker lists.

IMO if you are in Apple Ecosystem already, and don't mind staying in it. Just buy an iphone so other Apple stuffs you have can still work with each other.

I agree, but it’s such a hard choice because part of me wants the customization of an android phone, but I’m so used to iPhone and I am in the ecosystem.

What customization are we talking about ?

Side loading? I thought Apple agreed to let side loading ?

Well on Android you can use custom icons and launchers natively. I had to spend hours working on the Shortcuts app to make my iPhone look like this: IMG_0551.png.847dac3b56311ecb8646f0f2e61733ca.png

I see, as you might have inferred already , I don't tweak with those kinda things much.

Well, the option is either redo what you did on the new iphone, or spend more money to switch ecosystem I guess ?

Me personally wouldn't really mind redoing it, since I'm not the kinda person that often change that kinda stuff.

$600 isnt much of a budget for a watch and a phone. I'd just stick to Apple. Or, check out OnrPlus; they might be within reach for a 12R plus their watch.
