Looking for a new laptop for college

I'm looking for a new laptop that will last me at least four years. The recommended specs are attached below. I would prefer 1 tb of SSD storage and a dedicated GPU would be nice. My budget is $1000-1500 USD

I feel like almost every reasonably new laptop would fit your preferred spec. But if I am getting a new laptop today that doesn't required a powerful GPU, Lenovo Thinkpad always has a special place in my heart. This is purely personally preference, but I do love the quality and the feel of them. Now my work gives me a Lenovo Legion 5 but boy would I throw this thing away for a Thinkpad if I have a chance.

 

For Thinkpads, since you don't need a powerful GPU for game or specialised software, the T series offers a reasonably price for a somewhat lightweight but durable build. But if you have the extra budget, you could look into the X series, they tend to be the fancier T series. With your budget you should be able to get either thought.
