Monitor transport or something

Is there any better way to transport a 24in monitor or do I just have to go smaller? Something like 22in would just fit inside my job bag but no one makes a monitor in this size that's any good 

 

I take it with me for work travel, using a box or large case is impractical.

How about one of those portable type-c 17.3" displays? Seems like it would be a lot more practical, could carry two of those in comparison.

ideally you want some sort of soft material combined with a hard backing to cover the display, sort of like the flip covers for a tablet.

 

but when you say "work travel" - is this "i'll be staying there for a week" or "i'm somewhere new every couple of months"?

Depends how you travel.  Air?  Car?  

 

I put monitors on the backseat floor in my car when traveling.  So what you have in your pic is fine.

 

For air, use the box it came in.

My setup is mostly for gaming, I don't really use dual screen for productivity. Having a nice large screen is more immersive. 

If they made a more portable monitor in 20in sure

 

Like my only option for a display rn in 22in is a Acer vero v227q

might be worth just investing in one or two portable displays.

also - what sort of computer are you using with this? if it's a laptop, get a second display of comparable size to the laptop.

Sounds like you are traveling to the same place each time... if so, I'd just buy another monitor for that location.

If it's air, I just use the laptop display, but if it's car I take the monitor with me. I'm usually hauling equipment and stuff so strapping it to the bag helps prevent it from getting broken or something

15in ThinkPad and egpu setup, 15-17in is too small for gaming tbh. 

The only reason I would even have a second display would be to play youtube alongside whatever game I'm playing, I do not use dual monitors for productivity because that is done at work, not at the hotel room.

Someone will just steal it lol. I do store a stand for the monitor at one of the worksites but that's about it.
