Looking for a professional opinion

As said in the title im looking for a professional on the rx 7600 versus they're 7600 xt, from what I've seen so far is that the xt has more vram and a slightly higher clockspeed but else I dont really know myself and for that a professional opinion would be great

Also for those who recommend a different Gpu my budget is around 300€ and because of availablity I live in Germany, please dont ignore this for it was always annoying that people disregard the availablity in my location

I'm not exactly 'professional' but I'm close to novice! 😉

What resolution are you playing at? Do you stream at all?

7600 XT performs around 3% better in games but from what I've seen is around 25% more (n your country at least) so if it was out of these two I'd get the 7600

why are you considering the 7600 XT then? it's 50 euros above your budget. If you are going that high over your budget the 6700 XT is a much better option as it's about 10% better than the 7600 XT and still has 12gb of vram

a 7600 XT is definitely not worth it, just FYI. A 6700 XT might be

Im currently very into vr (into the radius, H3VR, Blade and Sorcery, Grimlord, I expect you to die 1-2-3, and some American Truck simulator in VR on the side), plus some air above would also not be bad for newer games or games to come

6700 XT should be enough then. 7600 or 7600 xt will most likely perform worse

If you look under Relative Performance, you can see the 7600 at 89% and the 7600 XT at 92% of the 6700 XT's performance, so yeah they are weaker on average

6700 XT is more performant in normal games and radeon 7000 series doesn't seem to have a huge uplift in VR so I'd get the 6700 XT. In beat saber the 6700 XT's render scale is slightly higher while having quite similar performance so no, not from experience but there is evidence

Btw that thing about me being a novice was a joke 😉. I am experienced somewhat

Regarding the versions/publishers of the 6700 xt, is it okay to get any or is one significantly better than the others? Because the one that wouldnt significantly punch a hole into my plans for other upgrades would be the xfx speedster shift 209

They're usually all very close in terms of performance, but can vary in terms of cooling performance and/or noise levels. Factory overclocks tend to not matter too much these days.

So it doesnt matter which one I get? In terms of performance?

I might have to get a different one tough, because the rx 6700 xt is really expensive with roughly 400 on amazon, there are cheapen ones yes but they're all used and im not exactly comfortable with buying used GPU's

Pretty much. There can be differences, but they tend to be quite small. You'll have to check reviews for details. TPU has a few, but unfortunately not for this particular model (only the XFX Radeon RX 6700 XT Merc 319 Black)

If you're on desktop an click on the first link there's a list of custom models at the bottom. The ones with the TPU icon have a review available (can't see the icon on mobile).

Question, is the difference between the 7600 and the 6700 xt so significant that one of them is far weaker that the other?

Based on TPU's benchmarks it has, on average, 89% of the 6700 XT's performance. If it's price is significantly lower, it might be a good deal.

A quick check on local pricing gives me this:

Price | Relative Price | Relative Performance | Model
269€ | 74% | 89% | XFX Radeon RX 7600 Speedster SWFT210 (Mindfactory)
349€ | 96% | 106% | XFX Radeon RX 6750 XT Core Gaming (Mindfactory)
364€ | — | — | XFX Radeon RX 6700 XT Speedster SWFT309 (Amazon)

Price | Relative Price | Relative Performance | Model
269€ | 77% | 84% | XFX Radeon RX 7600 Speedster SWFT210 (Mindfactory)
349€ | — | — | XFX Radeon RX 6750 XT Core Gaming (Mindfactory)

So the 7600 is better in terms of perf/€. It's interesting to see that big retailers no longer have the 6700 XT in stock and the 6750 XT is actually cheaper than the 6700 XT on Amazon.

The 6700 XT and 6750 XT have 12 GB of VRAM compared to the 7600's 8 GB, so will perform better in titles that require more than 8 GB (such as Hogwarts Legacy and likely many future titles ported from console)

The asus dual 7600 v2 OC goes for around 260€ on amazon, which is around 140 less than the 6700 xt since it goes for 400, most of the versions atleast

From what I've seen, the RX 7600 XT has a slight advantage in video memory and a slightly higher clock speed. However, both options can be good choices within the 300 euro budget. Additionally, consider product availability in Germany when making your decision.

the rx 7600 (normal not xt) goes for around 260 (on amazon) while the 6700 goes for roughly 400, considering the price per performance the 7600 is the better choice for my budget
