Zenfone not charging/booting after battery replacement

My ASUS Zenfone Max pro M1 is not charging / booting after I replaced the battery. It's stuck in a weird boot loop. Video attached. Anyone know what to do?

Put in the old battery. Most likely the battery you have is defective. Not uncommon with older batteries being replaced as most of the time these batteries have been on shelves for years and that does degrade them
