Is it ok to buy TVs from display?

Hey

i want to buy my mother a nice not too expensive tv(she had a bunch of Chinese tvs that broke after literally a year and a month, just after warranty xD)

and there is some places where im from that sell in a big discount thier displays tvs... I saw the 65 inch Q80B from Samsung in like 30% off..

is it alright to buy something that worked so hard ? Or will it break also after a year?

Don’t get Samsung brand if you want last longer especially on value product from Samsung.

I would personally not buy a display model TV for 30% off. They have been driven hard and I'd rather get something with less hours on the backlight components.

We have over a hundred 65" Samsung displays at work. The majority of them developed backlight issues and needed the panels or LED strips replaced within 2 years of 24/7 operation. I know that's a lot of run time, but you don't know if display models were ever shut off.

Agreed! Samsung also tend to faulty after end of warranty. My home Samsung TV facing this issue now, not totally fault but occurred of line on the screen already.

 

Now I everyday pray my Samsung monitor won’t facing same issue.

Given long enough, EVERY display will fail AFTER warranty.

Thanks on the replys everyone sounds like its a bad idea, so i wont do it

P.S i have 2 lcd tvs that were made in like 2004 and they work just "fine" until today... They just don't make them this way anymore

Especially don't buy them if they're oled, unless you'd like theTV specs, possibly a manufacturer logo, and whatever other static images were on it for hundreds of hours permanently burned-into the screen.

But just after warranty is something not good and nobody want that.
