Budget (including currency): 3000€ (willing to spend more if I need to)

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant, CSGO 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk are some of the games I regularly play or have played. While I do play mostly casual games I do want a very good PC that will not let me down when deciding to play gorgeous games like RDR2 on max settings. I do also video and photo edit from time to time, but mostly at a beginner's level.

The case, RAM, CPU Cooler and fans are things I would not budge on. I want to go for a certain aesthetic and these match mine perfectly.

Wanting to build it in the next 3 months roundabout, going for an all-white PC.

Hi first of all! I am very very new to all of this which is why I would love to get some feedback on this build.

Just to clear a few things up: I have built a PC before which is my current one, but that one was built more or less as an emergency, as my old prebuilt broke. I had to consult quite a lot of people to get help with it since I knew NOTHING, therefore not a lot of love went into it and not a lot of personal touch either.

Recently my PC has been getting very loud which might come down to a simple fan issue, but I wanted to kind of seize the moment and build a PC I will finally love. My dream PC if you will.

Now unlike the other PC I have been doing a lot of reading into all things PC and ofc watching videos (that's how I found Linus Tech Tips hehe).

Despite that I've also asked friends who know more about PCs to help me out a bit with at least looking for components that I will be really happy with, and I ended up with these specs.

What I am mainly going for with these components is a future-proof build, that will last me years to come without having to worry about upgrading in the near future. I'm an avid gamer so it will mostly be used for that and for all sorts of games too. As I do not want to replace anything anytime soon I am willing to go over budget to get a well-rounded build.

I was planning on going for the white 4070ti super by Galax (KFA2 in Europe?), but currently I cannot find it sold anywhere so I'm not sure which GPU I'd go with right now since I do want a pretty white one as it will be fully on display in my Hyte case. Furthermore I do still have two hard drives in my current PC (hard drive is my current boot up drive yikes) and one of those I would definitely build into the new PC as well for extra storage.

As I am still new to all of this I would like any feedback that could help me improve anything about the build. I have already put everything into pcpartpicker (not sure if I'm allowed to post the link for the build here) and everything is compatible, I simply get a warning that I might have to update the BIOS.

But yeah thanks for reading!

if you're only gaming then the 7800X3D is the CPU to go for

Edited the original post, sorry about that!! Also included my pcpartpicker list now 🙂

Ram, CPU Cooler, case and fans are things I'd like to keep as they are. I'll look over if they're compatible with what you attached later, but thank you very much for the reply!

300 euros for a CPU cooler isn't worth it at all, get an Arctic LF3 and it'll perform better for a lot less, it doesn't look too dissimilar either

that's fine, you're going for aesthetics so it makes sense

  • 7800x3D has 8 cores and 16 threads, for basic to mid-level creative program stuff it should be plenty, while the 3D really kicks strong at gaming

  • @filpo is right about 300€ for cooler being quite over the top, for AM5 CPUs you could go white version of Peerless Assassin/Phantom Spirit on Air Cooler, or we could find a cheaper AIO that's white,

  • either way AIO isn't necessary, some air coolers are very good, and can even be on level with them, even noise wise if you know the right brands and models

  • RAM you definitely want to get at least 30CL latency, it's not really that expensive, the 6000/30CL is quite standard go-to ram, so they produce more of those and you actually have decent pricing thanks to that

  • GPU wise, having 4070 Ti is quite underwhelming for a 3000€ build, at least for what kind of parts you could get for 3000€, and yes it even includes some aesthetics not just 3000$ into fast hardware and forgetting appearance, there's enough room for both speed and appearance of the PC in the 3000€ budget

  • Fans are very expensive sometimes, some of them are just expensive, and some of them cost as much as a 3 pack
