Is there a way to test an AIO which isn't compatible with my CPU?

RevGAM

I accidentally bought the Raidmax Tornado ARGB 360 AIO. There is no way (short of some sort of very sketchy attempt) to mount it on my LGA1700 that I'm aware of.

Would it be better to just return it or is there a solution so that I can test it fully to compare it against other AIOs?

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 馃槈 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.馃お馃槀

If Raidmax support can't send you a 1700 bracket, just return it.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Well, you could test it to see if it聽works聽by just plugging it into a header and turning the board on for a few seconds - but without the proper amount of mounting pressure provided by the correct bracket, you wouldn't be able to compare its performance against other AIOs.聽

Returning it would be your best course of action.聽

I already made sure everything turns on. That's easy. I agree that I need the correct bracket, so I've followed @Needfuldoer's suggestion and sent them a message. Whether they'll answer is anyone's guess.
