I have 2 rams, ram "a" and ram "b". Ram "a" works on all slots of my motherboard but ram "b" doesn't. What is weird is that ram b works on other motherboards. Both are from the same brand and same model. I can't figure out why lmao. It has both always been used for the dual channel of my pc. Has anyone had this problem before?

Note:
Last thing I did with my pc is change my gpu.

Things that I have done:

• Switch ram "b" to all 4 ram slots (no effect)

• try both ram "a" and ram "b" on the other pc (works as intended)

• erase both ram with eraser

I think you forgot to list the actual problem with the RAM that you're having.

What are the rest of the system specs though, both the system you're trying to troubleshoot and the other system where it worked as intended?

Thanks for the reply,

The ram is a gskill 2133mhz 8gb

My previous specs:

MoBo: b150m

Cpu: i7-6700

Gpu: gtx 1060

Psu: mwe 650w

What changed was the gpu. I changed it with a rtx 4060.

The system that worked well with it has this specs.

MoBo: b550m ds3h

Cpu: ryzen 5 3600

Gpu: gtx 1660

Psu: cv 550

RAM "A" and "B" are from the same memory kit, just different sticks, right?

Have yo tried using just RAM "A" in all slots?

Yeah, I find that odd, indeed.

When you said both RAM stick "A" and "B" works fine in another PC, that usually means the CPU / Memory slot on the motherboard could be the problem.

The other thing is to run MemTest86+ for a number of hours (multiple passes) to see if it detects physical issues (e.g. faulty ICs) on RAM stick "B."
