Hey, im looking to buy a used gpu and i am confused between 3080 10gb ,6800xt and 3080 ti.

my current pc has a ryzen 5 7600x,b650 and 5600mhz ddr5 ram.

Currently the price for a 3080 and 6800xt is the same whereas the 3080 ti costs about 100-200$ more.

i think vram matters alot to me but i dont really like the fact that amd gpus dont really have good upscaling.

im looking to play competitive games at 1440p 165hz (titles like csgo, fortnite, cod) along with some triple a titles(not that much).

I am also looking to use the rig for some productivity(blender and photoshop)

I would really appreciate the help.

ps(im looking to use this build for a long time, around 5yrs)

A used 6700 xt could sometimes be cheaper

RX 6800 XT and RTX 3080 10GB compete with each other while 6800 XT is being usually a bit faster in raster performance while 3080 has better raytracing performance but in some new games especially if you play at 1440p or higher the 10GB on the 3080 will be an issue and will cause performance issues or visual glitching due to not enough VRAM.

3080ti is just slightly faster, I'd not pay extra for the card.

Since you mentioned Blender then I'm assuming that you also render with GPU in which case the RTX card will beat the AMD card by an order of magnitude. In which case you should perhaps consider RTX 4070 Super if that is around the same price as RTX 3080 ti.

From my own experience the RX 6800 XT is just slightly faster at render times than RTX 3060 in Blender using Cycles before including Optix renderer into factor which will make even the RTX 3060 faster.

the thing is its impossible to find a 4070 super used and even if i do they would be 300-400$ more than a 3080 ti in India.

imagine i wanna play cod at 1440p 144hz would u recommend 3080 or 6800xt.

i would personally maybe chose the 6800xt but it is not as good for productivity, but then 3080 has a vram issue.

so then logically my best bet would be a 3080 ti, but finding one for a good price is really hard as they are rare.
