Dual RTX4090 Deep Learning Server

nbstackpie

Budget: +/- 10000 euros

Purpose:  Deep Learning

Hi guys, I had to make a "small" server for training our deep learning networks at work and I wanted to share with you the build. I hope this is the right spot. The cable management is not really nice but it was quite difficult to do something clean is a server case, and at the end the airflow is minimally impacted. The choice to have one RTX4090 air-cooled and the other one watercooled is because of the lack of space. I wanted to have at least one PCI slot between the 2 cards and also 1 PCI slot between the "bottom" GPU and the case to make sure that they have enough fresh air. At the end, under stress test with the 2 GPUs and and the CPU at 100%, the temperatures of the watercooled GPU and aircooled GPU were respectively 65c and 77c (ounce at equilibrium). Obviously the Noctua Industrial fans are quite noisy but the server is in a server room so doesn't matter 😄

Cheers
