What's the bottleneck? +looking to k*ll hp

Getting (not necessarily stable) down to 90/100 fps in cs2 (dm Vertigo) with these specs (HP Omen prebuilt)

cpu: i9 11900k

gpu: 3080 (10gb vram)

ram: 2x16gb Kingston HyperX Fury

I'm hating the hp bloatware (and the fact its locking advacned bios settings from me), so looking to build my own PC. Wanting to use some of my parts tho, and wondering what the bottleneck here seems to be. Probably CPU?

More info screenshots attached.

Also: If I want to have my pc be essentially a custom built (i.e. no remainding crumbs of influence by hp making my life slightly less comfortable :3 ) I figure all I need to do really is change the motherboard ? (& uninstall bloatware)

Yep I think the board and gimped BIOS hold your performance

You need to get a new board + PSU + case, and reinstall a "pure" Windows to get rid of bloatware

System : AMD R9 5900X / Gigabyte X570 AORUS PRO/ 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance 3600CL18 ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition GPU/ Phanteks P600S case /  Eisbaer 280mm AIO (with 2xArctic P14 fans) / 2TB Crucial T500  NVme + 2TB WD SN850 NVme + 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD drives/ Corsair RM850x PSU/  Alienware AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 3440x1440p monitor / Logitech G915TKL keyboard (wireless) / Logitech G PRO X Superlight mouse / Audeze Maxwell headphones

Even just doing a clean Windows install can make an appreciable difference, and it costs nothing but time.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

why do you think the bios is holding performance? According to hp, parts are already "optimized" whatever that means (overclocked potentially..) out the gate.

Also why a new psu?

I did a windows reinstall before but I did it through windows settings so probably not a clean install, will try that..

One last thing, looking at the hwinfo/task manager, the only thing that really seems to be bottlenecking is the cpu since some cores are (almost) max capacity so shouldn't I be looking to upgrade cpu?

(thanks for the help guys <3)

There's a chance the PSU, case and motherboard are proprietary to each other (though perhaps less so with HP than say Dell) so if you replace the motherboard then new case and PSU may be required.

Even if compatible, I wouldn't necessarily trust them to use a high quality PSU.  At the very least its an unknown quantity, as from a quick Googling I'm not seeing a model number that anyone has reported on the PSU Tier list.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)

So whilst hp boards dont allow you to run a 11900k at full boost nonstop they still allow it to run well.

Doing this wholr replacement would be like 500$ for 5% extra gaming performance if even

Id just do a fresh win install like @Needfuldoer said. As your cs2 performance even with a bit more limited hp board is just far too low and something else is up.

What are your temps during gaming?

I attached an hwinfo screenshot, cpu is around 72 celcius, gpu around 60. That's the thing, looking at the hwinfo stats I couldn't find anything that was bottlenecking, not memory or vram or gpu usage, the only thing thats up is cpu usage if you only look at the lower index cores, but I also thought that the 11900k shouldnt rly bottleneck me this hard, idk
