I have recently been experiencing large amounts of lag just browsing the internet (not gaming), my mouse will stutter and everything will become super slow until it completely freezes up, then I have to restart my computer. It doesn't happen all at once, it gradually builds up with just minor lag/stuttering here and there and then all of a sudden it gets really bad. This started happening a couple of days ago when I installed the game Heroes and Generals, the first time it happened I did a virus scan using Malwarebytes and it came up with three infected files, I dealt with them but it is still happening?

I have also noticed that when I am AFK my CPU load shoots up to 100%, then when I move my mouse it goes down instantly.

Check out my Build Log: Project Contrast

this isn't prebuilt, correct?

A)Save your current OC and settings to a BIOS profile, then start a new one and revert everything to stock.

Reboot, still persists?

B) Boot into safe mode and dick around if you can (this isn't very conclusive, since it's not really a good environment to recreate a problem like this, but it doesn't hurt to try)

If problem persists

C) Create new HDD partition and install Windows, use older versions and legacy drivers if possible

If you still have a problem we've narrowed it down to hardware.

It was originally but barely any of the original parts are still in it.

is it possible that it's overheating?

Error: 410

This tells me you have something running in the background. Go AFK while you have a process list up and watch. You want to identify what process is causing your CPU load to shoot up to %100.
