Upon installation, windows asked me for an internet connection but my ethernet was connected yet no connection. Any help? Motherboard is Asus Z790 Maximus Hero

Skip it, your ethernet driver probably missing.

Press Shift + F10, that will open Command Prompt. Then type this

oobe\bypassnro

press Enter and it will reboot.
It won't ask you to sign in anymore.

Check both ends of your connection. Try a different cable.

Make sure the cable is properly connected to both your motherboard and your router or modem. If possible, try using a different Ethernet cable or test the cable with another device to ensure it's functioning correctly.

Enter the BIOS setup by pressing the appropriate key during system startup Navigate to the Advanced or Onboard Devices Configuration section and make sure the Ethernet controller is enabled.

Reset TCP/IP stack: On your Windows computer, open the Command Prompt as an administrator and run them and Enter after each one:

netsh winsock reset

netsh int ip reset

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns

After running these commands, restart your computer and see if the issue is gone.
