5 7500f or 7 7700

2kPat

If you can fit it in the budget, the Ryzen 7 7700 build is definitely worth paying just $50 more for.

To make the Ryzen 5 7500F build make sense, I'd reduce the spending on the cooler and motherboard since the CPU doesn't need as much power. Something like this:

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7VWyRK

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor  ($148.76)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 EVO DARK 70.4 CFM CPU Cooler  ($20.59 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard  ($120.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory  ($103.31)
Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive  ($67.77)
Video Card: Asus TUF GAMING OC Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB Video Card  ($508.26)
Case: Montech SKY TWO ATX Mid Tower Case  ($99.17)
Power Supply: Corsair RM850e (2023) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply  ($111.57)
Total: $1180.41
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

However, if you need a board of that level for the features, then obviously it can't just be downgraded. So again, the R7 7700 would make more sense given the total system price difference.

The 7700 comes with a cooler decent enough to use, so if you drop the aftermarket cooler, the price is the same.

Plus one, really doesn't get better than this at that price point.

You can cut some spending here and there on stuff like the mobo cooler ssd rams case, maybe 100-150$ worth

But please dont buy a god damn rme for that price when theres the toughpower 850w gf1 or gf a3 at 90$ that also comes with a 10 year warranty and not just a 7 year warranty

also some forum members have complained of the rme being loud, even just looking up rme loud fan brings up a buncha results whilst the toughpower seems to be like 1 guy on reddit having issues with the gf3 1350w though correct me if im wrong here

Even if the fan isnt actually loud point still stands with the 850w gf1 / gf a3 being cheaper and having a longer warranty
