You can install windows onto an SSD like any normal HDD. If it's the only drive connected to the PC then it automatically makes it the primary boot drive in the bios.

Do you have a DVD drive? Do you have the Windows install DVD? I'm going to assume you do to simplify things.

  1. Make sure everything's plugged in (SSD included), and insert the Windows install DVD into your DVD drive.
  2. Turn on your computer
  3. If your computer boots into the install disk (you'll see the windows logo), you're good to continue
  4. Follow the on screen instructions, select the SSD to install Windows onto (it should be the only disk available in the menu)
  5. Continue following the on screen instructions, your computer will probably restart a few times
  6. Create your account, install all the updates, and you're set
  7. Remember to remove the DVD from the DVD Drive!

To Windows, an SSD and a harddrive are the same thing, it doesn't know the difference, because it doesn't matter to Windows.

Hope this helps, otherwise we can try to figure something else out :)
