Not really something you need to worry about with modern PC parts, they're built more robust against static shock.

LTT kinda tested this in a video collaboration with Electroboom.

 

If you want to prevent a possible static shock :

Several things, pick one or more :

- Ground yourself by using anti-static bracelet PROPERLY

- Don't do it on carpet, atleast not before applying additional measure against static build-up

- Wear non electrically conductive gloves

Not really unless you drag the motherboard on carpet. Another thing to worry about is if you got AMD AM4 or earlier, then you need to be careful when removing the cooler.
