Micro scratch on iPhone 15 camera lens

My phone is less than a month old and I'm not careless with it. While wiping the cameras with a microfiber cloth I noticed a small scratch on the wide lens camera. Nothing seems to be noticeable in pictures.

I'm just curious how I could have scratched it since I'm pretty careful and I also know they're supposed to be ultra durable.

I was wondering if this could be a manufacturing thing.

Probably something like a small rock on what you've wiped it with, or scraped it off a table or something. Just unlucky, really.

It's impossible for us to know what scratched your phone. It's probably not a manufacturing defect though. It's most likely just some small spec of dust that's been on some table or in your pocket. 

 

It's good to be careful with your stuff, but don't let it to overboard to the point where it becomes a burden to you.

I thought those where layered with sapphire.

It seems they kind of are, but with weak sapphire. Only slightly stronger than glass.

Are you sure there is a scratch?   Your other posts were a bit nit picky, so can you share a pic?

 

You see to have a very issue ridden device, you may want to return it or exchange it.

I’d call it a micro micro scratch cuz it’s extremely hard to notice. But I can certainly see it. Only under a specific angle or if I blow and fog up the lens, you can see a little line that doesn’t fog up. If you know what I mean.

You're claiming it's a manufacturing issue?

 

You have a number of these, why have you not returned the device?
