What do I have to buy?

Gege-Brazorf

Hi guys, I have a problem recently I bought two monitors to link with my MacBook an Acer proart pa278cv and a gigabyte g27q since I never had a dual monitor setup that I will both for my desktop and my MacBook so in order to avoid to plug unplug cables I was wondering how could I set up directly on the monitors since I will connect them trought usb c in the case of the MacBook , should I use a splitter or a stitcher ?

If yes could you recommend a model

the audio case is E3.5 eris
thank you in advance

*edit: I just realized that the e3.5 eris is a speaker, just ignore the amp part of this.  In theory a stand alone dac would be best, but I say connect it to either monitor with a 3.5mm to 1/4" TRS cable

Audio out is audio out, just select which monitor you want to be your output and connect to that with your headphones.

If you want decent quality audio as in listening to music etc you should look into a dedicated external solution that lives on your desk.  Monitor outputs aren't known for much more than giving audio information at a bare minimum of acceptable, though I've never tried it.  Such a thing just isn't a selling point on monitors so I doubt they put anything into the dac/amp.

What I'm getting at; to go from digital to analogue IE: something you can hear vs pure information, you need to convert it to analogue which is the job of the DAC (digital to analogue converter)  And then for that basic signal to power something you need an amplifier.  Every audio device that uses a digital signal to produce sound uses these two items, typically built into them.  A monitor is going to put little thought into this as it's just not a common demand.

But if you don't have much of a need for decent audio then ignore this, it's honestly just solid theory crafting because I've never tested it.

You could even plug in an external solution to your monitor considering it has a USB uplink.

Thank you for your support. My worry is that since I want to try to link monitor through daisy chaining system and I was wondering if I moved the sites from a monitor to another the audio would immediately cut off
