Networked display

Howdy! 

 

I've recently bought my forever home and I want to make my living room desktop setup as clean as possible. The main thing I want to do is put my PC in the cellar, and just have a desk with display, mouse and keyboard in the living room. (maybe cellar isn't the right word, it's more like a completly underground floor, including a garage) 

There's plenty of space, it's dry, it's cool, it's the perfect place for computer equipment. 

 

I've seen the devices on the Chinese wholesale websites, HDMI over ethernet and such, but those devices only support a refresh rate of only 60hz at 1080p or 30hz for 4k.

 

I would like a device that let's me plug in HDMI/DisplayPort on the PC side and on the monitor side, and connect the two with ethernet or whatever cable it requires. 

 

I recall Linus having a 'remote' setup like this, it's there a list of devices involved?
