RTX 4090 Game Crashes

Churrie

Hi there,

I am having a lot of trouble with a couple of games.

RDR2 I am able to play the game for about 15 mins however as soon as I enter a town the game crashes.

Detroit: Become Human - crashes while trying to build shaders?

I have tried updating drivers, reinstalling drivers, booting game as admin, running in compatibility mode, Temps are all good.

Event log states faulty module nvgpucomp64.dll?

I have no idea how to solve this.

Newly built PC

i9 14900kf

G.Skill 32gb ddr5 6400mhz

RTX4090

Smasung 2TB 980 Pro?

Any Ideas? I built the machine thinking it would be able to run almost anything?

quick thought, for any dx12 game, try running it on windowed fullscreen mode and see if that helps

install samsung magician and check that drive firmware.

run sfc /scannow in an admin cli window

run DDU, and reinstall GPU drivers.
