So this summer I'm finally going to be able to build my first desktop. My parents gave me a 3k budget which blew my mind away. I'm a medium pc gamer right now, but plan on going hardcore with my new desktop (since my old laptop couldn't do much). Im in college right now and have to run a bunch of different soil, animal, plant, migration and a billion other simulations and dont feel like going to the lab to be able to run them. So I just wanted some help and some ideas, I already have a wishlist made on Newegg, but thought I should get a second opinion. My only request is to have ONLY MSI and Corsair Products if possible. and enough money at the end for a nice gaming monitor :). Have fun guys and thank you so much for your time.

You can grab two of those monitors now, and a third after.

Notice how i suggested going three 1920x1080 monitors. OP is in college. There is not a lot of room in college dorms.

Now, think about how hot 2 780 will get in a mAtx case. And as you said there is not a lot of room in college dorms, so why go with 3 monitors
