but.. I'm really curious, what happens if I switch the places of the gpu fans?  (meaning white jack in black slot and black jack in white slot)
I mean, since there are different colors there sure has to be a reason why white goes in white and black in black, right?

Off the top of my head, the card may have a fan that is designed to turn off when the GPU or another component is below a certain temperature. So, when the GPU is idle, you'll only have one fan active to reduce noise.

 

Switching the fans would likely flip the behavior - which fan turns off vs stays active - and that could cause issues because if the fan above the GPU is the one that stays active, the fan over the VRMs would then be active, which wouldn't cool the GPU as effectively. So it might make both fans run more often. Assuming my hunch is correct.
