Is PCIe or SATA 3 6gb/s to M.2 adapter worth it?

Technically they are, but not if you don't have open-ended slots.

That mobo has PCIe 2.0 x1 so around 350-370MBps max.

but yes, you need a PCIe x1 to M.2 adapter 

 

ps, you have a GPU in your PC right! The PCIe 3.0 x 16 slot is already in use?
