Pc not booting

I had my pc working, 9700K Aorus Ultra, 4x8 Trident z 3200c14. 3080. I got a 9900K used at a good price and sold my 9700K and now the PC won’t boot on optimized defaults, I even reflashed an older bios and it still isn’t working. It freezes on the windows loading circle. But I can hear the audible post beeps even after it freezes, also, the post code is “A0” which is what it usually shows when it is posted and working. No idea what’s going on and I’m really sad I might’ve got scammed. Can anyone help?

Unplug any unnecessary storage drives and USB I/O devices and try booting again.

Clear CMOS after swapping CPUs?

Sounds like a stability issue. Too bad you sold your working 9700K, which could be used to help solve the issue if there is a chance the CPU may be the problem.

With the bios settings on default, try underclocking the cpu and see if that helps, or try turning off turbo boost or whatever it's called and run the cpu at it's base frequency.

The cpu may be nfg.

Well shit if I got a bad cpu I’m kind of out of luck. I doubt intel would RMA it. I’ll try that once I’m home from work. I was gonna reinstall windows maybe it was a windows thing because I did try loading my 5.2/4.8 4000c15 oc first boot from my 9700K maybe that blew up my windows who knows

Always load the default settings first and maybe with just the boot drive only too.

Hard drives...solid state drives...optical drives. Unplug anything that isn't a mouse or keyboard.

Completely new CPU so you'll have to start all over with dialing in OC settings.

I am 100% certain the cpu is faulty. Tried everything. Seller is being very co operative and offered for me to return it back to him. He provided the purchase receipt and I was thinking I can contact intel for a replacement. It was purchased feb 2020. What would be the best way to approach the RMA for them to approve it?
