Dreamlab app - Boinc for mobile devices

IMO this is dumb. Devices such as mobile phones are extremely thermally limited.

Well, yes. But you can fix this with an added cooler, like the weird gaming ones that stick to the back. I would not do that with anything below an S23 if you want good performance and not just waste energy.

But yeah, if you wanna use it like folding@home, this will be stupid as fuck.

Edit: I tested the app on my Pixel 7 pro and it used an average of only 30% CPU and one project would have taken 180 days, it only works when charging too.

Also: Please enable XMP/D.O.H.C before asking why your ram is too slow.

But every little bit helps, and billions of mobile devices exist in the world…

I know, I have already sent feedback regarding utilizing 100% of the hardware and being able to use it while charging, and also while the device is charging and the device is allegedly “too hot”, it’s a passively cooled chip, it can just slow down whenever it gets to hot, and keep going at low speed.

There used to be an Official F@H app, but they dropped it as the folding power of such devices was barely worth the effort and some devices were showing premature wear and tear. [meaning they were being damaged]

Not worth it.
