Best Cheap Old laptop to purchase for Running windows XP

pspyrou

Hello All,

I recently started working for a new laboratory at school and my professor got an old FPLC machine that needs a computer running windows XP. I was wondering what laptop you guys would recommend that runs windows XP natively. I would also be down for a loading XP onto a newer laptop as long as there has been a proven method.

Please let me know,

Thanks

Latitude D-series and Compaq Presario can be found quite cheaply - you'd want a Pentium M or Core 2/Core 2 Duo.

Alternatively, I'm selling numerous machines of this age in great condition + generally below market prices if any interest you, but don't feel obliged. Would be happy to load any of these with activated XP Pro.

All great condition, I have a single core 2GB Compaq for $30, and a couple dual core 4GB machines for $40 but could reduce price to $30 if configured with a HDD and 2GB RAM.
