very low fps with intel 12400f, rx 6800xt , B660m motherboard.

GPU an CPU benchmarks run perfectly but in games i get near 100% CPU utilization and 40% GPU and about half the fps then what is expected. GPU only consumes 120 watts and CPU consumes 40 watt max. can it be a motherboard's fault.

system configuration

6800xt

16 gb ram 3200

750 watt psu

1TB ssd

msi b660m-e d4

Show us a screenshot of hwinfo or hwmonitor running while you game, so that we can see the clocks 'n such.

 

Check the Windows power settings and V-Sync.

 

If it gets the correct scores in CPU and 3D benchmarks, then it must be a setting somewhere.

Which game ? very few games can fully use 6 cores

All games but i play mostly valorant and the finals.. I get only around 120 to 220 fps in valorant should be getting above 400..in finals i should get like 130 at 1440p but i cant get more than 70 fps on any resolution

if i run furmark and Cinebench together i can get the good utilization and power consumption for cpu(80watt) and gpu(250watt). Does that mean motherboard can deliver the power. But not able to get this power in games can it be a motherboard fault.

Monitor your CPU clocks, temperatures and power draw while you're gaming.

Not the chipset itself, the power delivery the manufacturers put in those boards.

Yeah but iirc the H610 boards were ok up to 12600K, when CPU hitting more than 100W power

they fluctuate a lot except temp which is always low

Clocks dropping when the usage is high is a sign of throttling.

Cpu clock remain constant but gpu clock fluctuates

Might be a CPU bottleneck. Try increasing the details in the game and check if your GPU usage improves.

I tried but cpu utilization is still high.

The GPU utilization is important.
