Best way to back up Samsung galaxy?

I'm looking around for a method that will enable me to save/back up my apps, contacts, texts, and notes etc so I can factory reset my phone. I feel like I've done that before but I can't remember how I did it. None of the methods I saw on google seemed to be the one I wanted. Thanks in advance for any help.
