so I recently built my rig and I have 2 aio water coolers one for my cpu and my gpu has one built in, the issue is when I play games like league of legends ( low impact ) my gpu aio fans do not spin whatsoever but they are 3 of my 6 fans and possibly because of this my cpu fans are extremely loud. is this a problem with the aio I chose for my cpu or the issue of having 3 of my fans not running ?

this is my build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zNh7ZJ

update: the main issue was I didn't have enough thermal paste ( I did a 3d mark and saw my cpu Temps were almost 100 the entire time )

also getting quieter fans also helped even at full ramp they aren't as loud as the the default cm fans were even at idle

240mm is pretty small, too small in my books. Likely included stock AIO fans can't keep up. I had the same problem with my NZXT 280mm AIO when I upgraded to a  5800X3D. couldn't keep quiet. Had to upgrade fans themselves. I got the BeQuiet Silent Wings 4 Pro's, I'm very happy. Look at my footer for reference of pretty shitty stock fans that often come with AIO's.

GPU likely has a "zero fan" mode where it doesn't need the fans as thermal capacity itself can keep the GPU cool in light games. 2nd radiator after intake will always be hotter than the first. 1st radiator is getting cold fresh air whilst 2nd is getting warm, used air.

yeah I originally had a 360mm but my case only has space for one 360 and a 240/280 so when I got the gpu it had to take the space, I have ordered new fans to try that ( arctic p12 ) I'm really hoping the fans just suck and this fixes the issue 😭

A 240mm AIO can't really manage the power of the 12900K (250W+), you should get a 360mm

Plus these CM fans aren't the quietest around

I hope you mean the P12 Max. I mean, it's not the best but it's cheap and has decent pressure.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

Artic P12's would only be a sidegrade. You're spending money on a fans not made for radiators. Not too familiar with Artic but pretty sure the P120's (or max?) are for rads and P12's for standard air cooling. P12's are mostly meant as the go to when you've got no fans at all, to not throw money away.

Have a look at fans actually made for radiators specifically.

Just a few vids quickly found.

T30 is still king but they're "cheating" a bit and this new LianLi is promising.

I sadly can't fit a 2nd 360mm, I even had issues with trying to install a dual tower air cooler because of my gpu rad which was why I went with a 240mm 😞

P12 are pressure fans, designed for radiators, I use 2x P14s (140mm version) on my rad and they work very well

They're not the prettiest but definitely the best value !

Also tried P12 max, but as all fans (Noctua Industrial included) they're super loud above 2000rpm
