I just bought a new CPU liquid cooler and I went to install it and realized that my GPU is in the way to allow both fans to be installed. There’s no mounting options on the top of the case. Is it okay to just have one fan installed? Should I install the other fan on the other side of the radiator?
added a picture of it installed

It'll work maybe ok with a midrange CPU up to 65W, but hardly with say a 13600K or a Zen4 chip

Check if slim fans can fit (15mm width), else change the case

And reverse the front fan(s) so they're intake

Yeah it's gonna need that second fan

I hope this isnt a nzxt h500 or h510 because in those you simply WONT have enough airflow to cool.

I was looking to get a NZXT H7 flow so I guess I’ll pick that up. Not taking any chances

If by this you mean on the case front then I would say yes unless you get a different case.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

I’m not sure what good fan placement would be on the radiator I know you want it to blow the hot air out but putting a fan on the other side wouldn’t be blowing air through the radiator and out rather just sucking the air off it and out. I’m new at the liquid cooling option

You can mount the fans either way, pushing air through or exhausting air from. I was thinking about having the fans outside and blowing air through the radiator (thus blowing "hot" air inside indeed, which many people do, "hot" air is better than no air)

Thank you. It’s making sense now

If the case offers that as an option, yes. Preferably with them pushing air into the case (not sucking it out, like you have that one fan now). Basic layout case, air in the front, out the back and top.

Id get a different case. One with mesh front and a top mount for the rad so you can have air in fromt the front and top through the rad
