This will be enough volume-wise but you might not get the fullest out of them. And of course, a cleaner signal outside your PC or a better internal soundcard will always improve quality and power.

Hello,

I want to buy a new Headset for Gaming and listening to music.

So I decided to buy an Beyerdynamic MMX 300 v2, but most ppl in reviews or comments say, they use a soundcard to drive them.

Is that really necessary, since the modern Mainboards do have a good audiochip?

The Mainboard I use is the ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING. (SupremeFX S1220A)

If I would buy a new ext. Audiocard, i'd go with the Audient Evo4.

Please let me know, what you think would be the best option.

Thank you! :)

Some headphones don't give two shakes of a stick what is driving them, power and clarity wise, ex: Rode NTH-100.  Some headphones soak up every last dollar you spend behind them ex: Sennheiser 650/600/6xx

I didn't know this was a thing until I got the Rode, at least I didn't pay attention to it.  I knew that the Sennheiser loved improvement and is called a "transparent" headphone but I didn't know the opposite was true, I call the NTH-100 and "opaque" headphone.  Every headphone falls in-between to different degree's but there's a reason that most hifi reviewers still call the Sennheiser 600 class an all time champ.

I don't know where the MX300 fall's but I'd imagine easy to drive and opaque.
